Lehigh River - Hickory Run Group Campground

Event Type

The Lehigh…. Our classic class 2. Beautiful, great beginner run with plenty of play to entertain the more experienced. Where would you rather be on a nice summer day?

Typically we run section 2 from Rockport to Glen Onoko on Saturday and the shorter  White Haven to Rockport on Sunday, but this will be decided based on interest and weather.
We can even split into multiple groups or so one of the Class I beginner sections.

We’re camping at Hickory Run Group campsites and have a site reserved (Sat. night only).
Now featuring bathrooms with showers on site with comfortable, large sites. Saturday camping only.

Food will be pot luck unless someone volunteers to coordinate. Contact us to volunteer or learn more. KCCNY will supply a gas stove and some food.

Plan on bringing some stuff to contribute and helping.

Adult beverages are technically prohibited so plan on being discreet (like drinking from a mug).

All paddlers are expected to help with shuttle. For those that don’t know, the Lehigh has longer shuttles and some paddlers in the past have ‘accidentally’ arrived late or suddenly needed to leave early.  Failure to help with shuttle is grounds for not being allowed to join the trip or not participate in club trips in the future.
