Lehigh Section I ( White Haven to Rockport) – the perfect excuse to ditch land life for a day and float through sunshine, splash, and a little skill-building mischief.. This is not a race down the river and we will spend some time practicing eddy turns, peel outs, attaining, combat rolls (intentional or otherwise) and of course soaking in that scenery.
I’m expecting a normal rafting release of 850 CFS with water temperatures in the 70s — warm enough to swim, but still cool enough to keep you awake if you flip.
Bring your big 5 (boat, paddle, helmet, PFD and spray skirt), water worthy shoes, nose plug, sunscreen, WATER and lunch/snacks to fuel all the fun.
Camping — You’re responsible for reserving your own patch of dirt. Some options are Hickory Run State Park, Mauch Chunk Lake, Lehigh Gorge Campground, and Riverview Park.
