With recent wet weather extra water is likely for the traditional end-of-the-season Lehigh Riverfest. Often a double release on Saturday and a release and a half on Sunday.
Saturday features a downriver race. KCCNY owns some old skool long boats if you want to be fast.
Camping at Hickory Run group site with Helga’s gourmet food included.
Hickory Run Group sites are large allowing those who choose to be far enough from the campfire to get to sleep even as the festities go on.
Generally a longer walk to porta-potties. Proper bathrooms and showers at the main campground a short drive away. Registration for food ends Thursday, August 24th.
Breakfast will be eggs w/ meat, both days.

Happy Hour (byob and plan on keeping it discreet as no adult beverages are officially allowed. Pro tip – insulated cups keep beverages cold much longer).

- Flank Steak

- Snack at night – Fresh Corn?
- Dessert
AND SERIOUSLY, IF THE COORDINATOR DOESN’T KNOW YOU, BRIEFLY EXPLAIN YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS. WE KNOW IT’S ‘ONLY’ THE LEHIGH, BUT AT HIGHER FLOW DOING MULTIPLE RESCUES AT THE SAME TIME CAN BE A CHALLENGE AND WE NEED TO KNOW WE HAVE ENOUGH STRONG BOATERS.
