We’re still waiting on signed contracts but expect pool sessions to happen. In the unlikely case this session falls thru a full refund or credit will be issued.
This is a 2 two-hour pool sessions to try everything from basic handling to advanced play-boating to working on that all-important roll.
Pool opens at 4 but plan on arriving well beforehand for boat inspection and cleaning. Cleaning station and locker rooms will be up and running by 3.30.
Late arrivals will have to wait to be inspected and checked in.
Everything – especially boats – must be clean.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to dirty boats. If you’d be willing to help check boats please contact us or the coordinator. Remove float bags and anything else that might impede cleaning. This means you. Everyone will be asked to dump a bucket of water in their boat, slosh it around and empty it to prove cleanliness.
See our pool page for all rules and procedures.
Online booking only as the online systems aids tracking and makes life easier for our volunteer administrators.
You will not be admitted until you have signed up, so you may as well do it now (as doing it on your phone at the pool is never a pleasant experience). $5 cash or check surcharge.
Discounted season tickets available.
INSTRUCTION:
Andy Lioasa (ACA certified instructor) will be attending and providing instruction to beginners in handling and rolling.
We have plenty of skilled instructors at all sessions who can help with getting you started and basic rolling. Just ask (or flounder and someone will probably offer to help).
If special classes are scheduled they will be listed here:
EQUIPMENT:
Equipment is available to borrow including boats, paddles, skirts helmets and life jackets but takes time to arrange so reach out well beforehand. LAST DAY TO SECURE EQUIPMENT is Wednesday and you may need to drive to our secret north Jersey location to pick it up.
Details on borrowing equipment.
For now whitewater kayaks only as we work out the details of our new locations.
