Event Type

Dryway Weekend – Who’s In?

Hey folks! Let’s get a crew together for a weekend on the Deerfield’s Dryway in Massachusetts. This run is one of New England’s gems — about 5 miles of continuous, technical whitewater with big waves, steep drops, and nonstop fun.

You’ll hit classics like Dunbar Brook, Dragon’s Tooth (IV) and Labyrinth (IV). The whole run is solid Class III+ with a few Class IV moves, so you’ll want to bring your A-game.

If you like non-stop action with short pools in between, the Dryway delivers.

Who’s this for?

  • Paddlers with previous experience in Class III+/IV water
  • Folks with good boat control and a reliable combat roll
  • Strong self-rescue skills (the river doesn’t give you much time to drift!)

Camping: Everyone’s responsible for their own campsite, but some good options nearby are Mohawk Trail State Forest, Savoy Mountain, Mohawk Park Campground and Country Aire.

We’ll need at least 3 paddlers signed up for this trip to run. More are always welcome!
