Event Type

Saturday should be a double release (1700) which starts to bring in some nice wave surfing and bigger holes. Swims can be longer but less bumpy.
Again, with water, Sunday is often an extra bump as well.(1000 vs. the 750-850 of a normal release.

The Lehigh…. Our classic class 2. Beautiful, great beginner run with plenty of play to entertain the more experienced. Where would you rather be on a nice summer day?

Typically we run section 2 from Rockport to Glen Onoko on Saturday and the shorter  White Haven to Rockport on Sunday, but this will be decided based on interest and weather. We’ve often had the hardcores start early at White and meet the rest of the crew at Rock. (though rumor has it the Rockport road is open there’s some chance you’ll have to carry boats down;-).
We can even split into multiple groups.

This is also Lehigh Riverfest Weekend with a downriver race and a party at Whitewater Challengers. We’re planning on a booth to promote the club at the Riverfest which is about 15 minutes from the campsite.

We’re camping at Hickory Run Group campsites and have a site reserved for Friday as well as Saturday night.
Porta Potties and no showers on site but otherwise comfortable, large sites (with showers and nice bathrooms a long walk or short drive or nearly flat bike ride away at the ‘real’ campground. The porta potties can be a bit stressed by Sunday morning so many might find the 5 minute drive worth it).

Food will be pot luck unless someone volunteers to coordinate. Contact us to volunteer or learn more. KCCNY will supply a gas griddle and some food.

Plan on bringing some stuff to contribute and helping.

Adult beverages are technically prohibited. Insulated mugs keep cold drinks cold!

We NEED AT LEAST 3 TO RUN THE RAFT.

DUCKIES: KCCNY has purchased a single and tandem ducky, super stable inflatable kayaks, perfect to get someone with basic paddling skills such as from paddling a rec kayak a number of times on a lake. If you sign up for a ducky, let us know if you  need a lifejacket or helmet. More details on our equipment page.

Top image was actually taken at 7500 cfs. If that happens and you like surfing and holes get on it.
