Steve December 27, 2011 at 4:25 pmLog in to Reply The actual “lfd’s” don’t look very practical (and they’re probably an entrapment hazard for hardboaters), but I can appreciate the general concept. I’m a bit more buoyant than I used to be, but with or without a life jacket I tend to float in an upright position. I can definitely say that when I swam the Hudson narrows a couple of years ago I would have appreciated some additional buoyancy in my lower legs.
