Enjoy a weekend of boating in the Adirondacks near Lake George. The Sacandaga River is a short, but fun play run. American Whitewater Info on Sacandaga Stewart’s Bridge to Hudson
Participants need to be able to read and run Class II+, and be competent in self recovery.
David H. has taken the initiative to reserve a site at Stony Creek Family Campground. Cost is $20 per night +$10 per night per person. For three days, this would be $40-$45 which is a great price in this area. The campground has bathrooms, showers, a game room, a camp store, in ground pool and more! Campsite is 10-15 away from the river.
If you prefer to primitive camp, please annotate that in the notes. Primitive campsites are 35-50 minutes away from the river.
For those camping, brats, bread and peppers/onions will be provided for dinner on Saturday. All other meals/snacks will be on your own.
**The state parks nearby have no availability for camping.**
Rafting, tubing, zip-lining and other activities are available in the area if anyone wants to bring family members and friends.
