Ramapo River
DEC Parking Lot, 102 east village road, tuxedo, NY

Event Type

Start the season with the ever-popular Ramapo River in Rockland County, NY. There will be cold water, so a helmet, PFD, and wet/drysuit are required. Water levels permitting, we’ll paddle the 6-mile stretch of the Ramapo River from Tuxedo to Torne Valley. This is a class 1-2 trip (not flatwater). If the water is too low, we’ll paddle the lower section ending in Mahwah.
