Mongaup 2 Barrel: Come on out for a full Mongaup 2 barrel and enjoy the lines, waves, and fun 1-mile continuous class 2 whitewater.
Club Trip will not be participating in the 2nd annual ‘Zomgaup’ race*. If you want to race you will not be part of the club trip, but of course, we’ll be offering assistance with shuttling as a courtesy to other paddlers. If in doubt about racing sign up for the club trip. (As usual for the Mongaup, we’ll just go when we go).
We’ll have a raft there as well – a great way to see the Mongaup if you aren’t up for paddling it.
Costumes optional but recommended.
Club-sponsored BBQ to follow. Please bring an appetizer, side dish, salad, or dessert to share with the paddling community.
As for the race itself, it’s a mass start race in with zombies on the course. If you get tagged by a zombie, you’re a zombie and you try to zombify the other racers. Sign up starts at 10 at the put in. Details on the Mongaup River Beater’s Facebook page.
