A note on Debby from the dam’s facebook page: ‘WW event scheduled for this weekend will likely be altered or canceled in its entirety. We have projected rainfall totals between 5″-7″ for the next 72 hours with the largest band hitting on Friday. We will be in flood risk reduction mode this weekend meaning its possible we could be storing water and only discharging our minimum release of 100cfs, releasing a much larger volume of water than the scheduled 850cfs, or maintaining the current plan depending on downstream conditions. …Anticipate a deviation to the current schedule and plan accordingly. Remember, recreation is a secondary purpose of the project and flood control will always take priority.’

The Lehigh…. Our classic class 2. Beautiful, great beginner run with plenty of play to entertain the more experienced. Where would you rather be on a nice summer day?

White Haven to Rockport. Moderate class 2+ rapids. Good novice to intermediate run.

Note this follows the 8/10  mongaup so you could make a weekend of it, though the 8/10 Mongaup is a 2 barreler which can be exciting for beginners (though mid-August is just about the best time join the Mongaup swim team).
