Event Type

One weekend of instruction, practice and feedback by a team with an American Canoe Association trained teacher.

Learn the strokes and maneuvers to safely and adventurously enjoy kayaking in fast or slow moving creeks and rivers.

KCCNY members can get the discounted AMC member price. For insurance reasons you’ll need to borrow AMC boats as KCCNY boats can only be used on KCCNY trips. Safety boaters needed as well who will get breakfasts and Saturday dinner. Contact coordinator for more info on helping as a safety boater.
