Yes, the dam operators need to close down a turbine for maintenance so the evil dead are dying early.

Mongaup 2 Barrel: Come on out for a full Mongaup 2 barrel and enjoy the lines, waves, and fun 1-mile continuous class 2 whitewater.

How do you get away from boaters who are already dead? Escape from zomgaup!

Club Trip will  be sponsoring in the 3rd annual ‘Zomgaup’ event – The Evil Dead  and BBQ to follow.

Costumes optional but recommended.

Club-sponsored BBQ to follow. Please bring an appetizer, side dish, salad, or dessert to share with the paddling community.

As for the event itself, it’s a mass start  with zombies on the course. If you get tagged by a zombie, you’re a zombie and you try to zombify the other racers. To register or volunteer for the Zomgaup ‘event’ itself go to the Zomgaup registration page. If you’d like to do the club trip beforehand and then participate or volunteer for the Zomgaup, sign up for both.

We’ll could have a raft there as well – a great way to see the Mongaup if you aren’t up for paddling it. Please contact the coordinator if you are interested in rafting.
