The Beaver River Rendezvous (commonly known as “Beaverfest”) is a major whitewater kayaking festival held annually over Labor Day weekend in upstate New York.
Most of the river releases during Beaverfest are Class III+ through V. The Salmon River in Pulaski, NY also has scheduled releases this weekend, however it’s the start of fishing season and there will be TONS of fishermen out on the banks and in the rapids.
Camping will be at Snow Ridge in Turin, NY and camping passes can be booked through Backyard Boat Shop:

– Friday, 04 September 2026, 11am-5pm – Moose (Bottom Moose)
– Saturday, 05 September, 10am-4pm – Raquette Stone Valley, (Race at 2pm)
– Saturday, 05 September, 10am-2pm – Taylorville Section of the Beaver River
– Saturday, 05 September, 1pm-5pm – Eagle Section of the Beaver River
– Sunday, 06 September, 10am-2pm – Moshier Section of the Beaver River
– Sunday, 06 September, 1pm-5pm – Eagle Section of the Beaver River
– Monday, 07 September, 10am-2pm – Taylorville Section of the Beaver River
– Monday, 07 September, 10am-4pm – Raquette Stone Valley
Other paddling options:
– Black River Canyon in Watertown, NY – need to coordinate with rafting companies to find out when the dam releases are for the day
– Hudson Gorge in Indian Lake, NY – releases on the Indian (which you WILL need) are on Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun from 9:30am – 11:30am.
– Surf at Hole Brothers in Watertown, NY – park and play with easy river access
