Join today. It’s easy. What are you waiting for? KCCNY has a full program of pool sessions and we’re already planning trips from beginning whitewater up to class 4+.
But if you want to check us out, come as a guest.
Be sure you are signed in for the correct account when renewing. Each account must have a unique email, including youth and children, as that’s how we track sign-ups and waivers.
Memberships currently expire at the end of the calendar year. Renewing now will not extend your membership.
Full Membership
The waiver is now part of the checkout when you sign up.
Full membership includes voting rights.
Youth
Under 18. Must be accompanied by a responsible adult on all activities. For pool sessions this can be an observer who stays in the bleacher area, but for trips this must be a participating member or guest.
A waiver signed by parent or guardian is also required.
Low-income
If you feel our normal fee is too much, we leave it up to you. Due to the high cost of insurance and the many other services we offer, we at best break even on low-income memberships. The waiver is now part of the checkout when you sign up.
Non-paddler
Allows for participation in off-water activities including voting rights.
For technical reasons you'll need to approve the waiver to check out, but will not be allowed to participate in on water activities including pool sessions unless you upgrade your membership which you can to at any time by just paying the difference.
Your membership supports:
- Partial scholarships for people taking ACA instructor certification courses.
- Upfront costs for pool sessions.
- Purchase of equipment to get folks started whitewater paddling.
- A full schedule of river trips and flat water practice sessions including upfront costs for campsites and food.
- A leadership role in the battle for river access, and support for like-minded organizations.
- And (sadly), administrative costs such as accounting software, website hosting and insurance. We have no paid staff but could certainly use your help with costs and more importantly, doing the work of making a club work. Contact us for more info.
However, if cost is a barrier for joining KCCNY and participating in our activities, please contact us or reach out to any board member and we’ll do our best to work something out.
