Hi Paddlers!
This is a Class III (III+) trip on the New Boston section of the Farmington River.
This section is not for beginners. The river can be shallow in places, with the release expected to be around 400 CFS. We’ll be scouting rapids for STRAINERS, which can be difficult to spot from the boat until you’re right on top of them and require last minute technical maneuvering.
Cold-weather gear is required. Elbow and knuckle pads are optional but recommended.

Come prepared for a fun, technical day on the river!
