SUMMARY:Leader's Choice (Lehigh Section I\, Lackawaxen or T’Ville)
DESCRIPTION:I’m planning a trip to Section I of the Lehigh River on Satur
 day\, April 4. This stretch will likely be running over 1400 CFS\, which b
 umps it up to a Class II–III run with faster current and more pushy feat
 ures than usual.\n\nPaddlers should have solid self-rescue skills and be c
 omfortable in moving water with limited recovery time between features. Th
 is is not a beginner float at these levels.\n\n***  IF THE FISHERIES RELE
 ASE IS STILL HAPPENINING - THEN LACKAWAXEN (NEAR MONGAUP)  OR TARIFFVILLE
  WILL BE THE ALTERNATIVES***.\n\nCold Weather Advisory:\n\nWater temperatu
 res are currently in the mid to upper 40s°F\, while air temps are expecte
 d in the mid 60s°F. Proper cold-water gear is required—drysuit strongly
  recommended (or at minimum a full wetsuit with appropriate layers). Dress
  for the swim\, not the air.\n\nThis trip is tentative based on water leve
 ls and may be adjusted or canceled if conditions change.\n\nIf you’re lo
 oking to get out early season and don’t mind a little push in the curren
 t\, this should be a solid run.
