DESCRIPTION:Another fan favorite that almost always happens with  big fun 
 waves near the height of fall foliage with relatively warm water (wetsuits
  or drytops still needed. It is October).\n\nWith a wet fall a Friday rele
 ase close to 4000 cfs is possible featuring bigger holes and a need for a 
 pretty solid roll as getting out of the river can be dangerous since water
  is often flowing thru the trees.\n\nUsually close to  2500ish on  Satur
 day which usually happens\, arguably even more fun (and feel free to go to
  FaceBook if you want to argue) and with low water levels is a good bet. W
 e’ll likely to White to the Glen but often have a big enough group to sp
 lit or have options.\n\nSunday likely be lower but hard to say how low.\n\
 nFor those that want to get into the nitty gritty\, here’s the reservoir
  level. A full mega 3 day requires a nearly full 1370 foot pool. Per an (u
 nofficial) agreement with rafting companies\, Saturday will be no bigger t
 hen 2500 (as over that swimming becomes more dangerous as there’s curren
 t thru trees on sides).\nA normal release drops the pool about 4 feet\, an
 d our friends at the Army Corp of Engineers are attempting so simulate a f
 lood.\n\nIf it’s big\, a reliable roll or ability and willingness to avo
 id holes is nice as swims are long.\n\nThere’s lots of big avoidable hol
 es and good on the fly surfing (best for longer boats as boat speed matter
 s). (Almost) nothing is retentive so it’s a chance to hit holes and wave
 s you wouldn’t normally hit…or just float fast in a pretty place.\n\nW
 e’re camping at Hickory Run Group campsites and have a site reserved for
  Friday and Saturday already.\n\nAll paddlers are expected to help with sh
 uttle. The Lehigh has longer shuttles (and the mega can have mega long shu
 ttles as we usually paddle at least the 20 miles of White to the Glen one 
 day). Paddlers in the past have ‘accidentally’ arrived late or ‘sudd
 enly’ needed to leave early.\nFailure to help with shuttle\, unless clea
 red with the coordinator beforehand\, is grounds for not being allowed to 
 join the trip and even not being allowed to participate in club trips in t
 he future.\nShuttling may include a request that you leave your camping ge
 ar at the site so you have room in your vehicle.\nAccommodations will be m
 ade if at all possible for carpoolers as we do want to be as environmental
 ly friendly as possible.\n\nRegistration will be opened up once we know wh
 at’s happening\, but rest assured there’s plenty of room at the campsi
 te and on the river.
