DESCRIPTION:The Hudson Gorge is one of the Northeast's classic wilderness w
 hitewater.  It begins on the Indian River and drops into the main Hudson 
 through a remote\, committing gorge with no easy access for evacuation. No
 table rapids include Mile Long\, the Narrows\, Greyhound\, and Harris Rift
 .\n\nGiven the remote setting and the length\, this is a full day on the w
 ater\, so everyone needs to be able to self-rescue and be comfortable on C
 lass III whitewater.\n\nWe'll take it easy and won't try to outrun the "bu
 bble."\n\nRequired gear: a whitewater kayak in good condition\, helmet\, P
 FD\, and a drytop or drysuit as conditions warrant\, plus adequate food an
 d water for a long day. Bring a wetsuit or layers appropriate to cold wate
 r.\n\nYou can camp with me at Eagle Point Campground\n\n// Paddlers who sw
